Links for volunteers
Make volunteering for your event easy for volunteers. Include handy links on your event page. This is the page anyone can see when they click on your event in the Schedule.
For example. The Poudre event has the following:
Poudre Qualifier Volunteers
Signup for all other volunteer positions (job descriptions)
If a user clicks on one of those links they will be taken to the cooresponding volunteer signup page (they will also be logged off the site to help prevent someone registering the same user as different people). Once the registration process is complete they show up as a pending request for the corresponding volunteer group.
The Notification feature of the site allows all members of a group to receive notifications of content posted to the site at the time the content was posted or changed. This is a handy way to post volunteer training materials, event information and other relevant information that is only visible to members of the group. Judge and referee training material can be posted to all the event judge and referee volunteer groups for access by those group members.
