Denver Table Build

  • Tables cost $60 whether you build them or we build them for you.
  • Help us build a table and pay only $55.
  • Bring your table to a tournament and get another discount for your tournament registration

If you're going to build a table for your team anyway, come down and build it with the league.  Make some friends, enjoy the afternoon, go home with a regulation table suitable for tournaments.

What's the down side of this proposition?  Let me guess...

  1. You don't want to commit to bringing a table to a tournament?
How hard can it be?  You're going to be there anyway!
This will satisfy one of your league volunteer requirements.
  2. You don't want to store a league table.
You're going to store your own table anyway.
  3. You don't want to build a table when we want to build a table.
Actually, I'm wrestling with the schedule as we speak.
Would Oct 4th be a better date?
  4. You don't want to pay cash for a table.
We take PayPal - does that help?
  5. You think you can build a table better than we can?
Have you seen our plans (attached below)?
Do you have an idea you'd like to share?
Come on down, show us your stuff!

Bottom line: Without your support, we won't have tables for tournaments.  No tables, no tournaments. Simple. Maybe we can set 2x4s on the floor and put a mat in the middle.  All in favor?

Please read the page on the Denver Competition Table Build, then send me an email and order a table from your Colorado FIRST LEGO League!

Table Orders

Hi Ross,
I would love to order a table built but have no transport device to get it to Fort Collins from Denver, nor to the tournaments that would need it (we’re hoping for the local Poudre HS tournament – are they offering tables also to bring to their tournament?).  We would make the table available to any of the tournaments mentioned, just would need a transport for it.
If the transportation can get worked out, the second question is:  Would the field set-up be required for the tournament, or just the table?
Thanks,
Belinda Voit

Good chance to get a friend to help; PLL has tables; FSK please

Hi Belinda,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I understand about the difficulty of moving these tables.  This is a great reason to talk to your neighbor with a pick-up and invite him to help!  It's a simple assignment, with a simple "definition of done" that most people - that can - will be happy to help with.

I'm forwarding your e-mail to the Poudre tournament director.  He also has a couple of tables he can spare.  He'll probably be in touch with you.  His name is Courtney, Courtney_G@ColoradoFIRST.org.

Yes, if you bring a table, the FSK to put on it would be a big help!  Please care for your FSK with this in mind.
